Afternoon Session – 2pm: Popular Song, Vocal Solos – from the Shows, Light Opera, Oratorio….

Opening with the Festival’s first class for Popular Song, this session was closely contested. Later in the afternoon, classes for Instrumental Ensemble saw Kilgraston’s String Ensemble win the Festival’s George Reid Chamber Music Trophy.

The session final class was for Youth Choirs, aged under 15. The Julie Young Singers brought two spirited performances to carry off the Perthshire Church Union Challenge Baton.
